Outsourcing Malaysia has conducted OM Industry Meeting on 9 June 2010 (Wednesday) at Cyberview Lodge, Cyberjaya. This meeting consists of:

1. OM Members’ Meeting, 10.30am - 11.30am
The objective of the meeting is to update members on activities conducted in the past, and also to keep OM members abreast on the current and near future activities. This meeting also work as a good platform for OM Secretariat to receive feedbacks from members to better serve them and the industry.

2. IAOP Malaysia Chapter Meeting, 11.30am - 2.30pm (inclusive lunch)
This meeting is an Outsourcing focused Thought Leadership session conduced quarterly and for this round, the focus is on creating compelling socio-economic value for governments and in turn benefit the industry at large.

Theme:

The theme for this quarter’s meeting is “Value Creation for Government – Services Sourcing and Sustaining Values”.

The event started off with opening remarks from IAOP Malaysia Chapter Chair, Mr. Bobby Varanasi, followed by Mr David Wong, OM Chairman, delivering his keynotes address. As a moderator, Bobby then set the stage by providing a presentation and invited Mr. Anthony Raja Devadoss, OM Exco and Mr. Rob Cayzer, Director of Business and Market Development of MDeC, to each head a group in the Focus Group Discussion session.

The purpose of this discussion is to explore the value the government will benefit from acquiring sourcing services from both the government and industry’s perspective. After the points of discussion have been established through audience interaction in the Focus Group Discussion, Bobby then utilized the points given and moderates it amongst the panel, which is Raja and Rob respectively.

Representatives from various government divisions such as MOSTI, MOHR, MOE, MOH, KPDNKK, and SME Corp attended and actively participated in the discussion. Total seminar participation was 58. Overall, the event was deemed successful.
