OM in joint collaboration with Invest Penang organized a 1-day event on 30 March 2010 at Vistana Hotel. The purpose of the event is mainly to promote Outsourcing Malaysia and to educate the local companies on the benefits of Outsourcing and also the potential of Outsourcing Industry in Penang. OM has also brought along 12 OM members to meet up with local companies that are interested to explore outsourcing as an option in a pre-arranged Business to Business Meeting Session.

During this event, Deputy Chief Minister 2 of Penang gave a keynote address to officiate this event. It is then followed by a presentation by Mr. Woon from KPMG on a report that was published by KPMG which listed Penang as one of the emerging outsourcing destination. This informative presentation was then followed by a Panel Session moderated by Mr. Woon himself. The panelists for this session were Mr. David Wong, Chairman of OM, Dato’ Lee Kah Choon, Chairman of Invest Penang, and also Mr. Saifol, Vice President of MDeC.

Throughout the event, we had an informative panel discussion session as well as successful case study. The attendance was considerably good and also many business-to-business meeting was done. In overall, this first time local roadshow is considered as a success
